Hi, I'mĀ Jackie!
Welcome!
Whether you come to your session with specific goals in mind, or perhaps a burgeoning desire to understand yourself more fully, I commend you. Together, we will cultivate a kind, compassionate space for you to be your most vulnerable, authentic self, and explore your unique human experience.
In the therapy room:
My approach to our session will vary depending on your preferences. I tend to incorporate bits and pieces from various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Psychodynamic Theory. I also enjoy using holistic practices that help in grounding and relaxation, such as mindful breathing and meditation. As a member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, I aim to create an open, accepting space for all humans. I am here to honor and work with you through the tough stuff.
My specialty areas include:
I have experience working with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions, sexual andĀ gender identity issues, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and mood disorders. IĀ welcome clients of all ages and identities, as well as those interested in modern and integrativeĀ relationship therapy.
My training:
I earned my B.A. in Psychology at Oakland University, andĀ completed my Masters of Social Work at Wayne State University. Since 2019, I have worked in both in-patient and outpatient mental health settings. IĀ have interest in psychedelic therapy and integration and have completed training in providing integration for those who have had psychedelic experiences.Ā I have also completed additional training in OCD treatment, and Safe and Sound Protocol.
Outside the office:
In my free time, I love watching thrillers, spending quality time with my partner, and finding small ways to connect with the universe.
