Hi, I'm Kyle!
Welcome!
I prefer to maintain a casual, yet professional attitude while creating a safe and supportive environment for those I work with. My role is to be a nonjudgmental ear that listens with empathy and compassion, no matter the path youā€™re on. As you proceed on your healing journey, Iā€™ll be by your side as a calm and steady presence.
In the therapy room:
When we meet, I may incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to help you reach your goals. Using a conversational approach, we will collaborate to determine how I can best support you along your journey and healing.Ā
My therapy specialty areas include:
I specialize in working with teens and young adults, particularly men and other masc-identifying folks, experiencing anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and life transitions. My experience working with all groups of people has shown me that folks need extra care and support when life transitions happen. This can occur when losing a loved one, experiencing difficult changes at school or work, or going through a divorce or change in the family.
My Training As a Therapist:
I received my Bachelor of Psychology from The Ohio State University and my Master of Education from Bowling Green State University. I am currently working on my MSW with Wayne State University, and have completed an internship and obtained subsequent employment at a local Community Mental Health agency. Along my journey, I discovered a desire to provide support to individuals facing difficult life transitions and other personal concerns.
Outside of the therapy office:
Here are a few of the ways I like to recharge: spending time with my partner, snuggling with our cats, playing video games, camping and exploring nature, reading, and trying new foods.
